Amanda Root

I am a skeptic. I do not accept anything at face value and I need to experience it to believe it. I have also always been highly connected to my intuition, although I didn't understand until I was older how to access it with intention. After spending much of my childhood connecting to the natural world (crystals, the beach, the forest) and practicing the cello, I had a love for science but fell into studying music and psychology. I was very curious about the whole concept of perception and thought and how music affects the brain. I went on to receive a master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Drexel University and have experience working with music in a therapeutic setting with all different kinds of people. I then spent the next portion of my life raising three highly intuitive and creative children and six pets (2 dogs, a bird, a snake, a lizard, and a bunny)... and immersing myself in all things creative and spiritual. The diversity of my background is the reason for my creative and compassionate, yet pragmatic reading style.
My long history with tarot cards, norse rune stones, crystals, sacred geometry, astrology, and numerology helps me decipher the codes in the messages I receive. I am fascinated by the way in which color, sound, and symbol can help us reach information that might otherwise be inaccessible to our conscious selves.
For the past five years I have been reading at psychic fairs in Washington State and online fairs. I give private readings locally and remotely on zoom or by phone.
